Youth and Teen Marketing Youth Startup in Belmont, CA 5

BUSINESS

During invention, marketing or business weeks, students in grades 2-5 and 5-8 brainstorm ideas, survey customers and research their market, competition and price. They build a business plan and create website. Students learn about truth in advertising, marketing strategies, manufacturing challenges as well as basic of money and finance... all using a fun age-appropriate curriculum! 

Teens take the TeenStartup week-long camp and build a business plan for their or their team's craft or STEM idea.  All businesses, for profit or nonprofit evaluate the social and community impact of their ideas.

MAKER

Build a prototype of your craft or STEM product idea.  Learn Science, IP, patents, money and basic financial Math concepts too!  Students learn about teamwork, diversity, managing project timelines, resources and more.

CODER

Students in Grades 2-5 and 5-8, learn programming skills to write real code, create games or apps. Just as importantly, students learn logic and solve simple coding and logic puzzles.  They bring their ideas to life with Code!

Coding is combined with fun business concepts in a Summer Day Camp to exercise both right and left side of the brain!

TEENS

TeenStartup camp is a week-long late afternoon camp where Gr8-12 students bring or develop an idea, conduct research into feasibility of their idea, create surveys, learn about lean startups and write a lean business plan!

SAT/ACT prep bootcamp is another weeklong late afternoon camp for Grades 8-12 to learn strategies for both SAT and ACT to reach your best possible test scores.

Teens can additionally participate in more learning as camp counselors through our leader-in-training program.

Camp Itinerary for Startup or Coding Camps

Camp itinerary can vary slightly according to the needs of the campsite and the need of campers. This variation is based on the judgment of experienced lead instructor. Younger students will have shorter sessions and breaks but more often. The time for start, pick-up and lunch will not change. One-day a week is water play (dependent on facility policy) and/or movie day. Both activities are optional and Free. Further site specific information will be provided by camp directors and communicated to parents via emails.

Last hour of last day of camp is Convention hour where students present to parents. 

3:00PM-5:30Pm are Extended Hours.  Extended hour activities are free play, crafts, fun games or volunteer sports activities and can vary by camp location.
